A 15-year-old youth has been judged to life incarceration with a base period of 16 years for the homicide of fellow pupil Harvey Willgoose during a lunch break.

The defendant pierced Harvey, also aged 15 years old, through the heart with a large blade at the city's All Saints Catholic High School in the winter month.

The presiding justice removed the anonymity limitation on the perpetrator during sentencing at the judicial building.

In the trial, Khan testified he had not planned to kill Harvey or cause him grave injury, stating he could not recall what had happened.

Prosecutors maintained that he had "intended to show he was formidable" and "understood exactly what he was performing".

"You acted as the instigator and... you behaved in hurt and anger at what you regarded to be his disloyalty of your relationship," stated the court official during the punishment phase.

The school issued a announcement stating that the pupil was "deeply remembered every day by the entire educational community".

Investigators emphasized the catastrophic results of possessing blades, commenting that a "instantaneous action" can forever change numerous lives.
